THE FEELINGS ICEBERG

One incident can make you feel angry but is that the only thing that you feel, or is there more?? Just like you can only see a small part of the iceberg but there's much more below the water; We experience more than one feeling or emotion at a time and this is one of the effective ways to know.
Ask yourself: what else does this incident make me feel? Sad/ disappointed/ overwhelmed/ jealous/ hurt/ pain?

Explore yourself, know yourself more.

Try this exercise of THE FEELINGS ICEBERG. You simply need a paper and pen, draw the iceberg. Think about the incident and see how you reacted to it. Now, close your eyes and ask yourself, what are the other emotions and feelings that are attached to this incident. As you become aware, note it down on the paper. Once you're done with this, simply close your eyes and breathe in- out at least ten times.

This exercise is also great for increasing your emotional quotient i.e. emotional intelligence.

Let me know what you think.
